Chiropractors have a unique but fleeting opportunity to be the leaders in identifying mTBI/concussion in the healthcare space.

I was a practicing chiropractor for over 40 years. During that time I owned multidisciplinary MD/DC clinics. I estimate that I was involved in approximately 20,000 trauma cases. According to the CDC, in that volume of patients, there were about 6000 concussion victims I should have identified. Even worse, up to 3000 of these unfortunate individuals could be defined as having permanent cognitive impairments. Sadly, I diagnosed exactly zero concussions.

I always considered myself highly competent but I was never taught anything about the association between whiplash and concussion. It wasn’t until I retired and met the scientists at Cognision System® that I became aware of this critical whiplash/concussion association. I have spent the last 5 years educating myself and other chiropractors about what many experts call the “silent epidemic” or the “hidden injury”. Chiropractors play a key role in the care of trauma patients so they must be aware of the signs of concussion so they can manage care properly and help victims receive the compensation they are entitled to receive for what could be a lifetime of impairment.

List your practice on accidentdoctor.org to be recognized as an accident doctor specializing in treating accident victims on a lien or LOP (letter of protection). This will help patients looking for care locate you within your vicinity. Enhance your referral network by opting for their platinum plan or utilizing other social media marketing strategies. Engage in blog posts on the website to showcase your expertise in handling personal injury cases, enabling attorneys to acknowledge your competence and making you the sought-after doctor in your area. Further build your practice with NMA EEG/ERP testing.

For that purpose, I would like to introduce you to our company, NeuroMed Associates (NMA).

NMA performs testing at zero cost to the doctor using the clinically proven, FDA-cleared, and medical guideline recommended Cognision System® EEG/ERP to help evaluate for cognitive impairment from concussion/mTBI.

As you know, MRI, MRA, and CT are most often non-revealing for TBI because they evaluate for structural damage only. The Cognision System® EEG/ERP is superior because it evaluates for functional cognitive impairment on a neuronal level.

An important difference between Cognision® and most other head injury evaluation devices is that all Cognision EEG/ERP reports are prepared by a Ph.D. neuroscientist and board certified neurologists as is required for med-legal acceptance. Visit www.neuromed-associates for more information.

I’ve also included a 2-minute Cognision EEG/ERP video. https://vimeo.com/342793873

For more information or to schedule a test please call or text Joe Lozano @ 559-304-4843 or email joe@neuromedassociates.com.

FAQ

🩺 Do I need to see a doctor even if I don’t feel hurt after the accident?

Yes. Many car accident injuries, especially soft tissue damage like whiplash, can take hours or even days to show symptoms. Getting evaluated immediately can prevent long-term complications and ensure your injuries are properly documented for your personal injury claim.

please bring:

  • Your auto insurance claim number (if available)
  • Police/accident report
    Valid ID
  • Any attorney contact information (if applicable)

Don’t worry if you don’t have everything, we can still help get the process started.

Ideally, you should be evaluated within 72 hours of your accident. This not only improves your chances for a full recovery but also strengthens your case if you’re filing a personal injury claim. Delays in treatment may allow insurance companies to question the legitimacy of your injuries

We begin treatment the same day whenever possible.

No, you do not need health insurance. If your car insurance includes Med Pay or PIP, we’ll bill them directly. If you’re working with an attorney, we treat under a medical lien, so you won’t pay anything out of pocket upfront.

Most health insurance wont pay for accident care or you will be refused treatment

Treatment duration depends on the type and severity of your injuries. Some patients recover in a few weeks, while others require several months. We regularly evaluate your progress and adjust your treatment plan as needed to help you recover as quickly and safely as possible
